Subjuntivo: Frases Adverbiales y la Línea del Tiempo
Aprende a proyectar acciones en el futuro y en el pasado usando el subjuntivo.
The Subjunctive and Time:
⏳ Time Adverbs + Subjunctive
We already know that the subjunctive serves to project ideas. But what happens when we project actions that depend on time? We use adverbial phrases like "antes de que" (before) or "después de que" (after) to mark when that projection will take place.
1. Projecting into the Future
If the idea or action in the adverbial phrase has not occurred yet (it is future), we use a PRESENT tense of the subjunctive.
Después de que termine el juicio, sabremos la resolución. (The trial hasn't ended yet, it's a future projection)
Te llamaré cuando llegue a casa. (I haven't arrived yet, it's future)
2. Projecting from the Past
